Skate After School

Here at Campus we offer a range of youth services both off-site and on-site for children of all ages. Read more below.

We are proud to offer after-school skate clubs for various schools across Bristol. We currently work with May Park Primary School, Chew Magna School, St Peter's Primary School, Bedminster Down School, and Sidcot School both on-site and off-site.

Skateboarding is nearly impossible to master and it can be hard to even get started.

This is why we run our after-school clubs - to break down those initial barriers, grow confidence and in short give you the basic skills you need to get rolling!

Over the course of the term, our aim is to build enough skills and confidence in every young person for them to be able to then visit any skatepark and use the space safely and responsibly.

What we cover:

Skatepark Etiquette / Pushing / Terminology / Basic flat ground tricks

What to expect:

Games / Group work / A lot of fun!

All equipment provided
Helmets mandatory
All participants will need to have a wavier signed by a parent/guardian

Payment for full term to be made to Campus Skateboarding ahead of club starting

The Campus team were really flexible and accommodating to our requirements. Communication was great making the whole process stress free to organise. It was nice to have something properly different for our school enrichment week and the students really enjoyed it. It was really nice in particular to see students with no prior skating experience getting stuck in and giving it a go. I hope to book them again next year to work with more students!

She was nervous before the first session, especially as she was the youngest there, but came out beaming and telling us about all the skills and tricks she's learning. I feel like the teacher and other kids have really built up her confidence too, and several kids told me how well she had done after the club. May Park has run Skate After School with Campus for three terms this year. The children have really enjoyed the sessions, recommending it to friends and continuing to skateboard outside of school. We have had the opportunity to use our school grounds which has enhanced the experience for the children. The Campus staff have been fantastic, particularly Bella, who has made sessions welcoming, fun, informative and inclusive ensuring that all those who attend improve their skills as well as having a great time. Parents have also appreciated this addition to our after-school provision and we hope to continue with the sessions in the future.
